Terms of use and purchases

Rules for event galleries, shared collections and digital photographs. Updated 24 September 2026.

The website

This website presents event photographs by Maja Gogulska. You can browse galleries, select photographs and resolutions, and create or open shared collections without an account. Questions, complaints and requests concerning photographs can be sent to contact@majagogulska.com. The purchase provisions below apply when online ordering is available.

Using the service

You need an internet connection and a current browser with JavaScript to use interactive features. Browser storage supports the cart and saved collections. Browsing and creating collections are free of charge; your internet provider may charge for data. Do not disrupt the website, circumvent access controls or infringe the rights of others. You can stop using these features at any time and remove locally saved selections through the interface or browser settings.

Events and notifications

A scheduled event or a gallery being prepared does not guarantee a publication date or a photograph of a particular person. A requested email notification concerns the selected event only and does not constitute an order or a reservation. You may cancel the notification request by email.

Collections and previews

Anyone with a collection link can view its selection. A collection link is not a download entitlement and does not grant a licence. Previews remain protected by copyright. Saving a preview or adding it to the cart does not transfer copyright or authorise commercial use. To request deletion of a shared collection, send its link to the contact address.

Orders, prices and payment

Where online ordering is available, the order summary identifies the photographs, file specifications, licence and total price, including applicable taxes and any charges, before you commit to payment. Adding an item to the cart or opening checkout does not itself place an order. A paid order requires a final action clearly indicating an obligation to pay. Stripe handles the available payment methods. The contract is concluded when we accept the order and send confirmation by email; if an order cannot be accepted after payment, the payment is refunded.

Delivery of digital files

Purchased photographs are supplied as digital files without the preview watermark, not physical prints. Before placing an order you receive the file format, resolution, compatibility requirements, delivery method and delivery time. The order confirmation records these details and the applicable terms on a durable medium, such as email. Keep a personal backup after delivery. A technical problem with a link or file can be reported to the contact address.

Photo licence

A completed purchase grants a non-exclusive, worldwide licence for personal and commercial use for the duration of the copyright. You may save and back up the file, reproduce it digitally or in print, publish it on websites and social profiles, and use it in company publications, advertising and promotional materials. Cropping, resizing and adjustments for these uses are permitted. Copyright stays with the photographer. This licence does not permit reselling the photograph as a standalone file or print, sublicensing it, or distributing the original file to others. The licence covers the photographer’s copyright; it does not grant consent on behalf of people depicted or other third-party rights holders, or override statutory uses permitted by law.

Withdrawal from a purchase

Consumers generally have 14 days from concluding a distance contract to withdraw without giving a reason. For paid digital content supplied without a physical medium, this right is lost only when supply begins with the consumer’s prior express consent, after they acknowledge the loss of that right, and the legally required confirmation is provided. Accepting these terms alone is not that separate consent. To withdraw where the right applies, email an unambiguous statement identifying your order; no special form is required. Refunds are made within the statutory period, normally within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without additional cost.

Complaints and statutory rights

If a file is not delivered or does not match the contract, contact us with the order reference and a description of the issue. For consumer complaints we respond within 14 days. Statutory remedies for digital content include bringing it into conformity and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or withdrawal. These rights apply independently of the photo licence and are not removed by consent to immediate delivery. The relevant consumer protections also apply to sole traders where Polish law extends them to a contract outside their professional specialisation.

Disputes and changes

Polish law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protection available under the law of their habitual residence. Consumers may seek help from a municipal or district consumer adviser or information about out-of-court dispute resolution through UOKiK. Statutory rules determine the competent court. Updated terms apply to future use and orders; they do not retroactively change a completed purchase.
